Sardine Factory
A common ashtray is elevated to star status in this festive piece.
(Perhaps not so common, it's from the famous Cannery Row in Monterey, California.) Inspired by the colors as well as the name, a bright red field is ringed with strips of black and white.
A half-dozen silvery sardines circle the frame, made of mirror chips and tiny millefiore eyes and bubbles.
